The Gannett Foundation has been providing program support to the Literacy Council since 2001. The Gannet Foundation—established by newspaper and media company Gannett Co., Inc.—and the Literacy Council are an excellent match. Both know well the importance of a literate and well-informed public, and both are dedicated to expanding literacy and English language education to the thousands upon thousands of adult students in Northern Virginia who are ready and eager to transform their lives through the power of learning.
"Gannett Foundation is pleased to support the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia," says Foundation Manager Pat Lyle. "They make an important contribution to our community, and we are proud to assist with their efforts."
