On January 22, 2010, Bank of America awarded the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia a $20,000 grant in support of its four educational programs. LCNV Executive Director Patti Donnelly attended the grand opening ceremony of Bank of America's new Centreville branch, where Bank of America presented LCNV the check. Bank of America has been a steadfast supporter of the Literacy Council since 2001, both through corporate grants and their employee matching gifts program. Their continued generosity is vital to maintaining the availability and high quality of LCNV's programs, which continue to be in demand throughout Northern Virginia. The students, volunteers, and board of LCNV are most appreciative of this crucial financial support.
