Directions

On Saturday March 29, the Literacy Council will host its second annual Reading: A Family Affair—a free event for Northern Virginia families. Held at the James Lee Community Center in Falls Church, Reading: A Family Affair will showcase books and reading through four entertaining venues featuring some of Northern Virginia's most popular performers.

Please note: Due to the nature of the physical space at the James Lee Community Center, we request that all baby strollers be left at home. Thank you for your cooperation.

WETA TV 26's Clifford The Big Red Dog and Super Why! will be at the event to meet the children and pose for photographs with them.

SCHEDULE OF PERFORMANCES

Reading: A Family Affair is produced in collaboration with Arlington County Libraries, Fairfax County Libraries, Fairfax County Department of Community & Recreation Services, and WETA TV 26. Because this event will be free and open to the public, we will rely entirely on the contributions of our corporate partners to bring Reading: A Family Affair to at least 350 Northern Virginia families. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
