The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Tutoring Program works with adults who need help with speaking and understanding English, as well as reading and writing. Most of the students in this program are just beginning to learn English. Instead of meeting in a classroom, the student and teacher meet one-to-one once or twice a week for about an hour and a half each time. They meet in a library, community center, or other public place that is convenient to both of them. There is a one-time registration fee, which includes the cost of the student’s first set of books.
