Western Pacific LINKS ESL Special Collection
National Institution for Literacy website providing links for ESOL teachers to a variety of sites to assist in their teaching, as well as numerous links for ESOL students at all levels for learning practice, communicating with other ESOL learners, and citizenship/immigration.

TESL/TEFL/TESOL/ESL/EFL/ESOL Links
Site monitored by the Internet TESL Journal. Provides over 12,000 links for students and teachers and highlights some of the best links.

Dave's ESL Café
The Internet's meeting place for ESOL teachers and students from around the world. Includes discussion forums, chat rooms, message boards in addition to pages devoted to specific English language skills and lesson plans.

REEP Gateway
Arlington County's website for ESOL teachers and adult learners. Teacher pages includes life-skills based curriculum for all ESOL levels (including activities to teach English skills) and annotated resource list of links to other websites. Student pages include interactive instruction on how to use the mouse and navigate the website, audio/video interviews with follow up activities. Also includes segments on health-related topics (the body, healthy life, food, health problems, emergencies, and medicine) along with follow-up activities such as matching vocabulary words with pictures.

ESL:Study and Learning Materials
Over 1,000 pages of information and resources for teachers and students regarding English language skills. The materials, which range from low beginning to advanced, are organized by skill and level.

Karen's ESL Partyland
Large website for ESOL students and teachers. Student pages include interactive lessons and quizzes, discussion forums, chat room, and lots of links. Tutor side provides lesson plans and reproducible handouts, discussion forums, chat room, job board, and links.

About English as a Second Language
Includes a wide variety of resources for both students and teachers. Most of the material is appropriate for intermediate to advanced English language learners.

The Literacy List
Provides access to a large collection of discussion lists, and other internet resources for adult literacy and ESOL learners. The links are to internet sites (e.g., a site containing easy reading material for adult learners) which have been suggested by adult literacy and ESOL practitioners.

OWL Online Writing Lab
Grammar, punctuation and spelling for resources for students and teachers. Includes resource pages, handouts, exercises and links to other websites. Too difficult for most beginning ESOL students.

International Dyslexia Association
This site offers a discussion board about issues with dyslexic adults. It provides information about books and assistive technology to help educators or students.

National Institute for Literacy (NIFL)
This site offers training material for teachers and tutors. It provides research on what works best for adult literacy students. It offers an online reading assessment tool.

Literacy Assistance Center
This site offers adult literacy information. Links include:
GED instructional links, some of which provide very useful exercises in language arts, social studies, science, and math.
