Tutor Training

Tutors in both the ESOL and the Basic Literacy Programs are required to take training on three consecutive Saturdays at the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia, located at 2855 Annandale Road in Falls Church.

The training schedule for each program is:

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Tutor Training is held from 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. at the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia.

August 14, 21, and 28, 2010
October 16, 23, and 30, 2010
January 22 and 29 and February 5, 2011
April 2, 9, and 16, 2011

Basic Literacy Tutor Training is held from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia.

September 11 and 25 and October 2, 2010
November 13 and 20 and December 4, 2010
February 26 and March 5 and 12, 2011
May 7, 14, and 21, 2011
