Basic Literacy Tutors & English for Speakers of Other Languages Tutors
- Basic Literacy Tutors: work one-to-one with adults who can speak and understand English but need help with reading and writing.
- English for Speakers of Other Languages Tutors: work one-to-one with people who need help with speaking and understanding English, as well as reading and writing.
Following a training workshop, tutors in both programs are matched with a student. They meet in the community on a weekly basis. The schedule is flexible. No teaching or foreign language experience is required. Ongoing support and training are provided.
